Basketball Recap: Newton Comes Up Short

Newton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 52-43 to the Thomas More Prep-Marian Monarchs. If the Railroaders were looking for revenge after losing 59-33 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Newton's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Thomas More Prep-Marian, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Newton will take on South in a holiday battle at on December 17th. As for Thomas More Prep-Marian, they will square off against Hill City at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
