Scarborough has gone a perfect 10-0 against Deering recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Red Storm will head out to face off against the Rams at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Scarborough and South Portland meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Red Storm took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Riots. That's two games in a row now that the Red Storm have lost by exactly five runs.

Meanwhile, Deering was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 18-7 to Thornton Academy.

Scarborough dropped their record down to 3-8 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Deering, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Scarborough took their win against Deering in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Red Storm repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
