Basketball Recap: St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K Takes a Loss

St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K was the 61-57 winner over Metro Academy when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K Knights took a 68-49 bruising from the Metro Academy Mavericks on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 277th in Missouri, while the Mavericks are ranked 72nd in Kansas).

Despite the loss, St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K still got an impressive performance from Dylan Key, who went 7-for-12 from beyond the arc to rack up 23 points. What's more, Key also posted a 58% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January. Nathan Reed was another key player, putting up 18 points.

St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K's defeat dropped their record down to 18-16. As for Metro Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-11.

Looking ahead, St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K and Lighthouse Christian will face off at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.9 points per game this season. As for Metro Academy, they and Mid-Missouri HomeSchool will face off at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Mid-Missouri HomeSchool knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Metro Academy likes a good challenge.
