Pelion is 0-4 against Mid-Carolina since March of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Pelion Panthers are headed away from home for the first time to take on the Mid-Carolina Rebels at 5:00 p.m. Mid-Carolina took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Pelion, who comes in off a win.
Pelion is headed out to face Mid-Carolina after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Everything went Pelion's way against South Aiken on Monday as Pelion made off with a 14-8 victory. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Thoroughbreds recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Elizabeth Sox made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in earned runs (zero). She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Pelion always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .618. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Aiken only posted an OBP of .464.
Meanwhile, Mid-Carolina came up short against Dutch Fork on Tuesday and fell 13-9.
Like Pelion, Mid-Carolina also got a great game from a two-way player: Savannah Moore. On the mound, Moore pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Gabi Riddle pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. At the plate, Moore scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Riddle scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Jordyn Marsh made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Nora Cutler was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Pelion suffered a grim 23-6 defeat to Mid-Carolina in their previous matchup back in March of 2016. Can Pelion avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
