Grace Christian Academy extends road losing streak to six

The Grace Christian Academy Crusaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their eighth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 80-60 loss at the hands of Unity Christian Academy. Grace Christian Academy has struggled against Unity Christian Academy recently, as their matchup on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Unity Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kenyun Mazique out in front who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Mazique also posted eight assists for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Donovan O'Neil, who scored 18 points along with six assists and two steals.

Grace Christian Academy's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-13. As for Unity Christian Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grace Christian Academy will square off against Illinois Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Unity Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Universal at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. Universal is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
