Westbrook hasn't had much luck against Gorham recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Blue Blazes will venture away from home to square off against the Rams at 5:00 p.m. Westbrook is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.
Westbrook will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Monday, then bounced right back against Deering on Wednesday. The Blue Blazes were the clear victors by a 19-1 margin over the Rams. Considering the Blue Blazes have won four matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Madison Ross made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Ross was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Avery Childs and Emma Rice did most of the damage at the plate: Childs went 3-for-4 with seven RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Rice got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits Childs has posted since back in May of 2025. Elyse Broad was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.
Westbrook kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Gorham strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against South Portland. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rams have posted since May 26, 2025.
Bella McBrady spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Gorham's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Cam Allen, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Westbrook's record now sits at 6-2. As for Gorham, their record is now 3-0.
Westbrook might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Gorham when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Blue Blazes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
