Basketball Recap: Itasca Starts Season with Loss at Home

Itasca unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 66-35 loss at the hands of the Robinson Rockets on Friday.

Leading Robinson to victory were Peyton Tindell and Noah Nichols. Tindell dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards, while Nichols went 7-for-15 en route to 19 points and three steals. Those 12 rebounds gave Tindell a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Oliver Woodard, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine boards.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Itasca will take on Carter-Riverside at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Robinson, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Comanche at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
