Soccer Game Preview: Plainfield East vs. Yorkville + How To Watch

Plainfield East has gone 8-1-1 against Yorkville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Bengals will take on the Foxes at 4:30 p.m. Plainfield East's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Plainfield East had taken Oswego East down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Bengals lost 4-1 to Wolves.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Yorkville was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Minooka who was credited with the victory. The Indians got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Yorkville's zero. While losing is never fun, Yorkville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 200th, while Minooka are ranked fifth).

Yorkville's goal came courtesy of Kai Jamison, who's now up to five this season.

Plainfield East's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Yorkville, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8-1.

Plainfield East couldn't quite get it done against Yorkville when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Bengals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
