Baseball Recap: Peabody Takes a Loss

Peabody lost against Gibson County back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Peabody Golden Tide fell just short of the Gibson County Pioneers by a score of 3-2. The Golden Tide have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Peabody saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caden McClellan, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Peabody's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Gibson County, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

While Peabody had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
