Volleyball Recap: West Clermont Takes a Loss

West Clermont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Loveland Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

West Clermont was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-11, 25-23.

Zander Bentley paced West Clermont's offense, picking up five kills. Bentley got some help from Jordan Michael Pack and his 12 assists. Bentley was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

West Clermont's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Loveland, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. West Clermont is set to square off against their familiar foe Lebanon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Loveland will face off against rival Walnut Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
