After a string of three wins, the Freeman Scotties's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 49-38 to Lakeside. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Freeman has scored all season.

Despite the loss, Freeman saw an underclassman step up: Taylee Phelps dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Phelps hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games.

Freeman's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Lakeside, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Freeman will take on Colville at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday. Colville is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Lakeside, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Riverside at 4:15 p.m. on January 20th. Riverside will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 259th, while Lakeside is ranked 35th).
