Baseball Game Preview: West Platte Bluejays vs. North Platte Panthers

The West Platte Bluejays will square off against the North Platte Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Platte will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

West Platte is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Lutheran with a sharp 18-3 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Bluejays, who have now won six contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Ten must be North Platte's lucky number: they beat Osborn with that score not once but twice on Wednesday. The Panthers beat the Wildcats by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 10-4. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

West Platte pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for North Platte, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
