Volleyball Recap: Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology proved they can win big on Monday (they won by three) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hayfield Hawks, sneaking past 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Colonials: when they faced off against the Hawks on October 6th, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Andrew Du paced Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology's offense, picking up 12 kills. Du got some help from Nick Boukens and his 27 assists. Boukens was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

When it comes to explaining why Hayfield lost, don't look at Preston Simpson. Despite the final result, he had 25 digs and five assists. Simpson has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last four times he's played.

As for Hayfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Fairfax on the 3rd.
