Baseball Recap: Dunedin Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Dunedin proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by eight) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the East Lake Eagles, sneaking past 2-1. While the Falcons didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Dunedin's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Logan McLemore, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

The victory (which was Dunedin's sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for East Lake, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-3.

Dunedin didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-5 defeat against Northeast on the 13th. As for East Lake, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-1 victory against Cypress Creek on the 12th.
