Baseball Recap: Sunnyside's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Sunnyside took a 17-run defeat the last time they faced off against Wenatchee, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Grizzlies skirted past the Panthers 4-2. Four seems to be a good number for the Grizzlies as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

C.J Acosta spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits.

At the plate, Trey Castro was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Ryker Heeringa was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Sunnyside's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-19. As for Wenatchee, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-8.

As of now, neither Sunnyside nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
