Basketball Recap: Myrtle Point Takes a Loss

Myrtle Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They fell 58-46 to the Illinois Valley Cougars. If the Bobcats were looking for revenge after losing 56-46 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Myrtle Point's record now sits at 3-16. As for Illinois Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Myrtle Point will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Oakland at 7:30 p.m. Oakland will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Myrtle Point surely won't give up without a fight. As for Illinois Valley, they are taking a road trip to face off against Reedsport at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
