Softball Recap: Jacksonville Comes Up Short

Jacksonville lost against Whitehouse back in April of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Jacksonville Fightin' Indians lost 14-2 to the Whitehouse Wildcats. The Fightin' Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jacksonville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lacey Whetsell, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Jacksonville's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Whitehouse, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Jacksonville will host Nacogdoches at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jacksonville is facing Nacogdoches at the right time seeing as Nacogdoches is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Whitehouse, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Whitehouse Wildcats challenge Lufkin Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lufkin comes in on six and Whitehouse on nine.
