Baseball Recap: Melrose Comes Up Short

Melrose was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 10-7 to the Overton Wolverines. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-3 last Monday.

Melrose's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Overton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Melrose has already played their next match (against Ridgeway), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Overton, they will be taking part in a tournament against Middle College at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
