Baseball Recap: Spring-Ford Sets Scoring Season-High Against Pottstown

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Spring-Ford). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Pottstown Trojans a 13-0 shutout on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Rams, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Gavin Rambo tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on TJ Schultz, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Max Hungate also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

Spring-Ford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got Spring-Ford back to even at 5-5. As for Pottstown, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the loss, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.
