Roanoke Rapids barely beat Southern Nash the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Yellowjackets blew past the Firebirds 5-0 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for Roanoke Rapids, who have now won ten matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Casey Neal was the driving force of Roanoke Rapids' attack as she scored all five of Roanoke Rapids' goals, bringing her season total up to 51 goals.

Roanoke Rapids pushed their record up to 16-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those seven contests. As for Southern Nash, their loss dropped their record down to 14-8.

Looking ahead, Roanoke Rapids will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Northern Nash at 6:00 p.m. Roanoke Rapids will need to watch out since Northern Nash have now posted at least four goals in their last six games. Southern Nash does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
