Basketball Recap: Jeremiah Crecelius Key Part of Team Effort in Rattlers Win

After losing to Fort Worth THESA the last time they met, Red River decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Red River Rattlers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 55-53 victory over the Fort Worth THESA Riders on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rattlers.

Red River's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeremiah Crecelius, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine boards. That's the most rebounds Crecelius has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Burnside, who earned 19 points.

Despite the loss, Fort Worth THESA still got an impressive performance from Will Day, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 12 boards. The contest was Day's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Jeremiah Krause was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds.

Red River's record is now 24-11. As for Fort Worth THESA, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 25-19 record.

Red River didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 66-45 loss against Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool on the 14th. As for Fort Worth THESA, they have also already played their next game, a 76-74 defeat against Fort Wayne HomeSchool on the 12th.
