Flowers' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kodi Gardner, who rushed for 137 yards and two TDs. Gardner's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 105 rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Damieon Butler, who rushed for 28 yards and one touchdown.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Flowers' defense and their five sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as five different players picked up one apiece. They received some extra help from Tyger Williams, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, Eleanor Roosevelt earned a 14-7 victory over Oxon Hill last Friday.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Eleanor Roosevelt was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 249 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 165 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.
Flowers' record now sits at 9-1. As for Eleanor Roosevelt, their record is now 6-3.
Saturday's game might be decided on the ground. Flowers has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 190 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Eleanor Roosevelt struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 215.1 rushing yards. There's a good chance Saturday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Flowers took their win against Eleanor Roosevelt when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 26-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jaguars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
