Basketball Game Preview: Byne Christian Saints vs. Wiregrass Kings

The Byne Christian Saints will challenge the Wiregrass Kings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Byne Christian came up short against CHESS Academy and fell 51-44.

Meanwhile, Wiregrass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against East Central HomeSchool, falling 55-11. While losing is never fun, the Kings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while the Patriots are ranked 57th).

Wiregrass got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Josie Duren and Avery Barnes, who each put up four points. Barnes also led the team in rebounds with eight.

Byne Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Wiregrass, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.

Everything went Byne Christian's way against Wiregrass when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as Byne Christian made off with a 48-23 victory. In that matchup, Byne Christian amassed a halftime lead of 33-9, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
