Passers beware: Daniel Perez came down with his first-ever interception on Friday and he's no doubt on the hunt for more. He also made one tackle as Bassett took down Mendez 46-7. We hope Perez's good effort is the first of many we'll see posted here on MaxPreps.com.

Perez and Bassett will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against La Quinta at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. Perez had to take a loss the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their match back in September of 2024 41-6. Could another big game from him be enough to change the outcome this time?
