Basketball Recap: Frontier Academy's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Frontier Academy had won four straight games and Lucas Carmichael did his part to make it five on Saturday. The Frontier Academy Wolverines snuck past the Fowler Grizzlies with a 57-51 win thanks in part to Carmichael, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 20 points and eight rebounds. That's the most boards he has posted since back in December of 2023.

Despite the loss, Fowler still got an impressive performance from Isaiah Montoya, who posted 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock True, who had nine points and seven rebounds.

Frontier Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Fowler, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

Frontier Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Fort Morgan at 7:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Frontier Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55 points per game this season. Fowler will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Swink at 4:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
