Recap: Indian Creek Braves vs. Columbia City Eagles
After a string of nine wins, the Indian Creek Braves's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 75-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of Columbia City. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Friday (66), Indian Creek still had to take the loss.
Defeat or not, Indian Creek got some senior leadership from Faith Wiseman who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 13 rebounds and Lauren Foster who scored 22 points along with eight assists. The match was Wiseman's 16th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayla Lollar, who scored 13 points.
Indian Creek's loss dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Columbia City, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-2.
Indian Creek is on the road again on Friday and play against Lake Central at 6:00 p.m. on December 29, 2023. Lake Central is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Columbia City, they will head out on the road to face off against Bellmont at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
