Volleyball Recap: Curtis Baptist's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

After a string of four wins, Curtis Baptist's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Westminster Schools of Augusta Wildcats. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

While Curtis Baptist ultimately came up short, they really made Westminster Schools of Augusta work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 26-24, 25-18.

Curtis Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Westminster Schools of Augusta, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Curtis Baptist will face off against Augusta E at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Westminster Schools of Augusta, they will head out to take on Mead Hall Episcopal School at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
