James Wood is a perfect 3-0 against Warren County since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Colonels will take on the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

James Wood's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Liberty. The final result isn't all the surprising considering James Wood's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 95th, while Liberty are ranked 256th).

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last game, Warren County made sure to put some goals up on the board against Liberty on Tuesday. They blew past the Eagles 7-4. Considering Warren County have won six matchups by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Warren County is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those four games. As for James Wood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3-2.
