Softball Recap: Hale Ray Noises vs. Berlin Redcoats
Hale Ray hadn't done well against Berlin recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Noises sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over the Redcoats. For the Noises, this counts as revenge for the 10-8 win the Redcoats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.
Lily Jahne spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Briella Dean was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
