Baseball Recap: Bishop Mcnamara Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with St. John's

Bishop McNamara is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of St. John. Bishop McNamara lost 15-2 to St. John's. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Cadets recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Bishop McNamara saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Willis Coppedge, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That stolen base was Coppedge's first of the season.

Bishop McNamara's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for St. John's, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.

Looking ahead, Bishop McNamara is taking a road trip to take on Paul VI at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop McNamara's pitchers better be ready for this one: Paul VI has averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. As for St. John's, they will square off against West Broward at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
