After both having extra time off, the Velva Aggies and the New Rockford-Sheyenne Rockets will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 3:00 p.m. on December 28th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Dakota (Velva is ranked 82nd, while New Rockford-Sheyenne is ranked 85th).
Velva can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game last Saturday. They had just enough and edged Garrison out 55-53.
Meanwhile, New Rockford-Sheyenne's 12-3 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell 57-49 to St. John two weeks ago. New Rockford-Sheyenne's loss continues a unfortunate trend for the squad, making it four in a row.
Velva's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for New Rockford-Sheyenne, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
