Softball Recap: Kimball Takes a Loss

Kimball was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the North Dallas Bulldogs, falling 29-6. The Knights were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in April of 2018.

Alissa Talamantes was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Z'Niyia Dixon was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Kimball's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for North Dallas, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-7.

Looking ahead, Kimball will head out to square off against Pinkston at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Dallas, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. North Dallas is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.4 runs per game this season.
