On Friday, Tellico Plains lost to McMinn Central on the road by a 35-21 margin. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Chargers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Despite the defeat, Tellico Plains had strong showings from Ike Hollinghead, who threw for 137 yards and one TD, and Jasper Hamilton, who rushed for 93 yards and one score. Hollinghead's passing game has become a key predictor of the Bears' success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 2-3 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Smith County strolled past Moore County with points to spare last Friday, taking the game 27-13.
