Basketball Recap: Carver Takes a Loss

Carver had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 65-45 to the Chicago Military Academy Eagles. The Challengers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

Chicago Military Academy can attribute much of their success to Trevion Anderson, who posted 19 points and four steals. Those 19 points gave Anderson a new career-high. Marcae Hill was another key player, going 5-for-10 en route to 10 points and three steals.

Looking ahead, Carver won't have much time to rest: their next game is against DuSable at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chicago Military Academy, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against Englewood Stem at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
