The El Capitan Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Page Sand Devils at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. El Capitan is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
Two weeks ago, El Capitan got the win against Window Rock by a conclusive 10-4. Considering the Eagles have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Aryck Hammon and Kendall Hammon were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Hammon didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Kendall struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). Those eight strikeouts gave Aryck a new career-high. At the plate, Hammon scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances, while Kendall scored three runs and stole four bases while going 4-for-4. Kendall has become a key player for El Capitan: the team is 8-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-4 otherwise.
In other batting news, Brayden Hammon was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. Jairus Hammon was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.
El Capitan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.
Ten must be Page's lucky number: they beat Window Rock with that score not once but twice on Monday. The Sand Devils walked away with a 10-5 win over the Fighting Scouts. The Sand Devils haven't had any issues with the Fighting Scouts recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Page also got a great performance from Wyatt Tallman as he tossed 4.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kevin Sam, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Shaine Begay, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Page pushed their record up to 11-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for El Capitan, their record is now 10-5.
Wednesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. El Capitan has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .562. However, it's not like Page struggles in that department as they've averaged .439. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
