Volleyball Recap: Fremont Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

Fremont won the last time they faced Weber and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Silverwolves walked away with a 3-1 win over the Warriors. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Fremont had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-23, 25-17, 25-22.

Olivia Surrage paced Fremont's offense, picking up 18 kills. Surrage were helped by Brooklyn Smedley and Ellie McArthur, who contributed 15 assists each. Kylee Harper controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

When it comes to explaining why Weber lost, don't look at Tesyn Stewart. Despite the final result, she had 21 digs and three aces. Stewart has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Fremont's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. As for Weber, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Fremont will be playing in front of their home fans against Layton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Weber, they will host Green Canyon at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
