After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Peekskill, Poughkeepsie was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 win over the Woodlands Falcons. The victory continues a trend for the Pioneers in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won six in a row.

Poughkeepsie's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-6.

Coming up, Poughkeepsie will face off against Hamilton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Woodlands will be paying especially close attention to the Pioneers' match: after the Pioneers face off against Yonkers Montessori Academy, they'll take on Woodlands again at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
