Kehillah hasn't had much luck against Pacific Bay Christian recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Kehillah Rams will challenge the Pacific Bay Christian Eagles at 3:45 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Kehillah: 23, Pacific Bay Christian: 30) so any points scored will be well earned.
Pacific Bay Christian is hoping to do what Pescadero couldn't back in December of 2024: put an end to Kehillah's winning streak, which now stands at four games. Kehillah came out on top against Pescadero by a score of 44-32. While the Rams didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Kehillah's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Ariella Sheppard, who posted 17 points along with six boards and three steals, and Noga Kohavi, who put up 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adi Lerner, who had four points in addition to ten boards and three steals.
Kehillah smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pacific Bay Christian). They blew past East Palo Alto Academy 44-2 on Tuesday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 23-0.
Kehillah better focus on containing Terra Pandolfi and Savanna Munds as the pair were huge in Pacific Bay Christian's win. Pandolfi posted 17 points and five steals, while Munds put up 15 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Katelyn Cheng, who had six points.
Kehillah pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.3 points per game. As for Pacific Bay Christian, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Kehillah lost to Pacific Bay Christian on the road by a decisive 48-29 margin in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Kehillah avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
