Volleyball Game Preview: Scott Bulldogs vs. Anthony Wayne Generals

Scott is 0-5 against Anthony Wayne since March of 2023 but things could change on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Scott is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to Springfield.

While Scott was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Springfield's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-8, 28-14.

Meanwhile, Anthony Wayne faced Perrysburg in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Thursday. Anthony Wayne came up short against Perrysburg, falling 3-0. The Generals haven't had much luck with the Yellow Jackets recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-20, 25-15.

Anthony Wayne now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Scott, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Scott couldn't quite get it done against Anthony Wayne when the teams last played two weeks ago as they fell 2-0. Can Scott avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
