Recap: Hancock Panthers vs. Turkeyfoot Valley Area Rams        
        
		
            
 This season hasn't been kind to the Hancock Panthers, who are still winless after their sixth contest. They took a serious blow against Turkeyfoot Valley Area on Thursday, falling  51-22. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Hancock came into the  contest with a sizable advantage  in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states  (they are ranked 276th in Maryland, while Turkeyfoot Valley Area is ranked 601st in Pennsylvania).
 Turkeyfoot Valley Area was led to victory by  Maleigha Younkin and  Shyanne Schur.  Younkin  dropped  a double-double on ten points and 14  rebounds, while  Schur  scored 15 points along with seven  rebounds and five  blocks. Younkin hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games.  Makiah Schartiger was another key contributor,  scoring eight points along with five  rebounds.
 Hancock bumped their record down to 0-6 with that  defeat, which was their tenth straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Turkeyfoot Valley Area,  the  victory  got them back to even at 7-7.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hancock won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against Berkeley Springs at 7:00  p.m.  on January 12th. Berkeley Springs is coming into the  game on a five-game losing streak. Turkeyfoot Valley Area won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against Bishop Walsh at 6:00  p.m.  on January 12th.
