Soccer Game Preview: Tazewell vs. Virginia High

Tazewell is 1-9 against Virginia High since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bearcats at 7:30 p.m.

Tazewell is headed into Tuesday's matchup following a draw, the team's first since March 11. They and Eastern Montgomery finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Friday.

Meanwhile, Virginia High fell victim to Marion and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Scarlet Hurricanes, falling 4-0. That's two games in a row now that Virginia High have lost by exactly four goals.

With that draw, Tazewell's record moves to 9-3-2. As for Virginia High, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

Tazewell took their win against Virginia High in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 4-1 score. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Bearcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
