Baseball Recap: Bothell Comes Up Short

Bothell's last matchup with Redmond could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Cougars came up short against the Mustangs, falling 13-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-6 back in March.

Bothell saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew Marino, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double was Marino's first of the season.

Bothell has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. As for Redmond, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-6.

Bothell has already played their next contest, a 12-2 win against Mercer Island on the 14th. As for Redmond, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-3 victory against Lake Washington on the 14th.
