Volleyball Recap: Holmes Comes Up Short

Holmes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newport Wildcats. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Holmes' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Newport, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Holmes will square off against Bellevue at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Newport, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Holy Cross at 7:15 p.m.
