Basketball Recap: Middle Township Extends Home Winning Streak to Ten

Middle Township had won four straight games and Jamir McNeil did his part to make it five on Monday. The Middle Township Panthers walked away with a 63-52 win over the Ocean City Raiders thanks in part to McNeil, who went 12 of 18 on his way to 31 points in addition to six boards and five assists. Those 31 points gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Murawski, who posted nine points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Middle Township pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Ocean City, their loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-2.

Middle Township will take on Mainland Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ocean City, they will face off against St. Joseph at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Joseph will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Ocean City surely won't give up without a fight.
