Bloomington Central Catholic extended their winning streak to eight on Friday, bumping them up to 8-0. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 48-21 win over the Pontiac Indians. The Saints might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 27 points or more this season.

As for Pontiac, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 352nd, while Bloomington Central Catholic is ranked 97th).

Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jayden Reed, who rushed for 129 yards and two TDs while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Alvin (A.J.) Delong was another key signal caller, throwing for 123 yards and one touchdown.

Bloomington Central Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 41-0 victory against Prairie Central on the 24th. As for Pontiac, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-21 loss against St. Joseph-Ogden on the 24th.
