Basketball Recap: Sneads Pirates vs. Wewahitchka Gators
The Sneads Pirates fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They took down Wewahitchka 45-28 on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Sneads also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
China Keys had an outrageously good game as she dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ella Sprouse, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.
Sneads has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-14 record this season. As for Wewahitchka, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-19.
Sneads will face off against the Bulldogs at TBD on Monday. Wewahitchka's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Tiger Sharks on February 5th. Port St. Joe is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
