Game recap: Lighthouse Christian High School Football Team wins against Christ Prep Academy

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Lighthouse Christian (Springfield, Mo.) and Christ Prep Academy (Kansas City, Kan.) both tightened up defensively, but Lighthouse Christian managed to score enough to pull out the 14-6 victory.

The Chargers/Eagles scored on two rushing touchdowns to pull out the win.

After taking the lead on a Josiah Lockwood touchdown run in the second quarter, Lighthouse Christian led 7-6 at the half.

The Patriots' Timothy Finley played well. The senior tight end kicked two field goals. He has now scored three touchdowns on the season.

LC's most effective player was Lockwood. The senior running back ran for one touchdown. He has now scored five touchdowns on the season.



The Springfield school came into the game allowing 16.1 points per game. The six points that Christ Prep Academy ended with were below its average of 12.0 coming into the game.

Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 62-31 win for the Chargers/Eagles.

With the win Lighthouse Christian extended its winning streak to four games.
