Volleyball Recap: Avon Grove Charter's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Avon Grove Charter entered their tilt with West Nottingham on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Rams 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolves also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Avon Grove Charter was: they took every set by at least 16 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-5, 25-6.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Avon Grove Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maddy McGehean, who had seven aces. Those seven aces gave McGehean a new career-high. Teagan Nardi was another key player, getting six aces.

They weren't the only good server: Avon Grove Charter was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 28 aces. They are a perfect 5-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Avon Grove Charter's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for West Nottingham, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Avon Grove Charter and West Nottingham will both be playing Tome the next time they take the court. The Wolves will host the Titans at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Rams will host them at 4:00 p.m. on October 9.
