            Basketball Recap: Williamson Lions vs. Elberta Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            Williamson's game  back in December of 2024 was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Elberta Warriors by a score of  35-23. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

 Williamson got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Jarhiya Davis out in front who  went 7 for 15  on her way to 15  points in addition to six  boards and three  steals. The dominant performance gave  Davis a new career-high in  points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Shekinah Lane, who  went 5 of 6  on her way to 10 points and three  steals.
Williamson's win  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 3-8. As for Elberta, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the  loss, which was their seventh straight  at home.
 Williamson will square off against UMS-Wright Prep at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. UMS-Wright Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Elberta, they will take on Rain at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Elberta is facing Rain at the right time seeing as Rain is stuck on  a  seven-game losing streak.
