Softball Recap: River Hill Find Success

River Hill hadn't done well against Reservoir recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Hawks' pitcher stepped up to hand the Gators a 3-0 shutout. For the Hawks, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Gators walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

Not much got past Annie Levine, who gave up just four hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Reservoir off the board. Levine has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Aviana Sekerak, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.

The win got River Hill back to even at 7-7. As for Reservoir, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. River Hill is set to take on their familiar foe Mt. Hebron at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Reservoir will challenge rival Long Reach at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
